About the Inn Peace Cove Inn, an original Schooner Skipper's home by the sea, offers the cozy feeling of a bygone era. Situated on beautiful Trinity Bay, on the Bonavista Peninsula, in the community of Trinity East, the Inn was once home to a colourful schooner captain. This original, century-old home has been lovingly restored to provide warm, comfortable B&B-type accommodations for guests and visitors to the area. We are open May through October. Providing many of the amenities of a full-service inn, The Peace Cove Inn Bed & Breakfast offers 6 guest rooms with private bath/showers. Four of these rooms are original main house bedrooms, comfortably accommodating 2-3 adults. Two more guest rooms are larger suite-like rooms offering comfortable accommodations for up to 4-6 adults or a family. |

On the main floor are the Breakfast/Dining area and the Living Room area, once part of the original double parlor of the home. Satellite television is available in the eating area, as well as in both suites. Fax, internet access & telephone are also available for your use. In July and August, The Galley, our 24 seat dining room will be serving lunch and dinners, with a daily menu posted inside and out. Traditional dining will be our specialty, with special 'all you can eat buffet' offered on certain days. Our menu will consist of, but is not limited to, traditional Newfoundland recipes, made with local products, whenever possible. And homemade soup is always available! The Inn’s prime location offers endless opportunities for all visitors to the area, including those nature explorers. Visitors to the Peace Cove Inn in the early part of the tourist season will marvel at the breathtaking view of icebergs on their journey along the rugged coastline (May-June). You can watch from the shoreline or for the more adventurous, sign up for a local boat tour, to take in the spectacular sight of the many whales that frequent the North Atlantic waters (June-July). There are gorgeous coastal trails to hike featuring the splendid coastal scenery of the Trinity Bight area, as well as sea-kayaking, bird-watching and national historic sites all easily accessible from the Peace Cove Inn. Be sure to start your day off right when spending the day exploring the many attractions Trinity Bight has to offer. Never leave the Peace Cove Inn hungry! In addition to a variety of cereals, yogurt and fruit available, a full hot breakfast is included in your stay, featuring locally baked-homemade bread including Newfoundland’s famous ‘sweet bread’. An array of homemade jams are available (when berries are in season). Be sure to notify Peace Cove Inn staff of any food allergies or special food requirements when booking and we will do our best to accommodate all your needs. Tea/coffee and freshly baked good are always available upon check-inn or as a late night snack after a full day of activities. We are most willing to prepare a bag-lunch “to go” for you to take as a picnic on your hike or trail walk. | |
